# BlockForecast Privacy: What Data We Collect and How

BlockForecast is built on public blockchain infrastructure, which means some activity — market positions, trades, wallet addresses — is inherently on-chain and publicly visible. This page summarizes how BlockForecast handles the data it does collect through the platform and its website. ## What data BlockForecast collects

    When you connect your wallet, BlockForecast records your public wallet address. This is inherent to on-chain trading and is publicly visible on Base L2.

## How your data is used

BlockForecast uses the data it collects to:

BlockForecast does not sell your personal data to third parties.

## On-chain data and public visibility

Because BlockForecast is built on Base L2, your wallet address, trade history, and market positions are recorded on a public blockchain. This data is visible to anyone who queries the Base L2 ledger directly — it is outside the scope of any privacy policy. If you want to keep your trading activity private, use a wallet address you haven't publicly associated with your identity.

## Cookies and third-party services

BlockForecast's website may use cookies and third-party analytics tools (such as basic traffic analytics). These are used only for product improvement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some platform functionality.
