BlockForecast is Africa’s prediction market — a crypto-native platform on Base L2 that’s globally available. You trade on the outcome of real-world events — crypto prices, sports results, elections, tech news — using USDC as the settlement currency. Approved creators can list markets on any topic and earn 0.5% on every trade those markets generate. Resolution runs through a multi-agent AI oracle that reads authoritative sources, votes with confidence scores, and reaches consensus automatically.

Built for Africa

The platform is positioned for African crypto users first, while remaining globally available subject to the Terms of Service. Three things make that practical:
  • CEX rails that work. Fund your account by withdrawing USDC on Base from any major exchange — Binance, Bybit, OKX, Crypto.com, KuCoin. Users in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya can follow dedicated deposit guides for the exchanges most commonly used in each market.
  • Base L2 economics. Transaction fees on Base are fractions of a cent, which makes the small-ticket trading that dominates African retail crypto activity economically viable. Settlement is in native USDC on Base.
  • Sport coverage you’d actually trade. Markets cover CAF and African football (AFCON, the Nigerian Premier League, the South African PSL) alongside the European leagues most followed across the continent.

What you can do on BlockForecast

Trade prediction markets

Buy YES or NO shares on any active market. Prices between $0 and $1 reflect the crowd’s probability estimate. Winning shares pay out $1 each.

Create your own markets

Apply for creator access and list your own markets on any topic with a clear, verifiable outcome. Earn 0.5% of every trade.

Trade 5-minute Bitcoin markets

BlockForecast’s flagship short-duration product: BTC, ETH, and SOL up-or-down on rolling 5-minute and 15-minute schedules.

Build with the API

Create and query markets programmatically via the REST API or the x402 agent API — one HTTP call, $1 per market.

How BlockForecast works

Every market on BlockForecast is a binary (YES/NO) or multi-outcome contract. You buy shares in the outcome you believe is correct. The share price — a number between $0 and $1 — reflects the market’s collective probability estimate at any moment. If you buy 100 YES shares at $0.60 and the event resolves YES, each share pays $1: your $60 turns into $100. Markets resolve through BlockForecast’s multi-agent AI oracle. Multiple independent AI agents read designated authoritative sources, vote on the outcome with confidence scores, and settle the market automatically — typically within minutes of resolution criteria being met. You can watch live agent voting on the Oracle Dashboard. Trading is denominated in USDC on Base L2. Base is Coinbase’s Layer 2 network: transactions confirm in seconds and cost fractions of a cent. You fund your account via the in-app bridge (accepts any crypto on any chain) or by withdrawing USDC directly from a CEX.

How BlockForecast compares to Polymarket and Kalshi

Polymarket and Kalshi restrict market creation to their internal teams. On BlockForecast, any approved user can create markets. Submit an application — it’s reviewed within 24 hours — and you gain access to the market creation interface.
