BlockForecast is built on public blockchain infrastructure, which means some activity — market positions, trades, wallet addresses — is inherently on-chain and publicly visible. This page summarizes how BlockForecast handles the data it does collect through the platform and its website. The full Privacy Policy is published at blockforecast.io/privacy and is the authoritative document.
This page is a high-level overview. The full Privacy Policy at blockforecast.io/privacy contains the complete legal text, including your rights under applicable data protection laws. If there is any conflict between this summary and the full policy, the full policy controls.

What data BlockForecast collects

Wallet address

When you connect your wallet, BlockForecast records your public wallet address. This is inherent to on-chain trading and is publicly visible on Base L2.

Trade and market data

All trades and positions are recorded on-chain and in the platform’s database for display, settlement, and analytics purposes.

Usage data

Standard web analytics data — pages visited, session duration, browser type, and referral source — may be collected to improve the platform.

Communications

If you email support or submit an application form, BlockForecast retains that correspondence to resolve your query and improve the platform.

How your data is used

BlockForecast uses the data it collects to:
  • Operate the platform — execute trades, settle markets, distribute creator fees, and display your portfolio.
  • Improve the product — analyze usage patterns to identify bugs, improve performance, and prioritize features.
  • Comply with legal obligations — retain records as required by applicable law, and respond to valid legal requests.
  • Communicate with you — respond to support requests and, if you’ve opted in, send product updates.
BlockForecast does not sell your personal data to third parties.

On-chain data and public visibility

Because BlockForecast is built on Base L2, your wallet address, trade history, and market positions are recorded on a public blockchain. This data is visible to anyone who queries the Base L2 ledger directly — it is outside the scope of any privacy policy. If you want to keep your trading activity private, use a wallet address you haven’t publicly associated with your identity.

Cookies and third-party services

BlockForecast’s website may use cookies and third-party analytics tools (such as basic traffic analytics). These are used only for product improvement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some platform functionality.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data BlockForecast holds about you. To exercise these rights, contact support@blockforecast.io with your request.
